Beakers are mainly used as heating vessels. Borosil Scientific beakers are made of low expansion 3.3 borosilicate glass. Controlled wall thickness at the sides, radius and the base, ensures a fine balance between the thermal resistance and mechanism strength, to enable effective heating. The tall-shape design of the beaker is ideal for heating in a liquid bath, especially when the contents need to be kept distinctly apart from the surrounding medium or materials.
