The recirculation valve allows you to prime the Labquest Dispenser without wasting any of your chemical, in Pinnacle Models. In Research Models, operating without a recirculation valve the initial priming dispenses would be discarded out.
Labquest Dispensers facilitate dispensing various reagents, solvents & acids with safety & precision.
Labquest dispensers wetted parts constructed from Borosilicate Glass, PTFE Piston, PFA Valve & FEP tubes can dispense nearly any laboratory chemical/reagent having density up to 2.2gm/cc, vapour pressure 600 m bar.
Limitations of using dispensers include:
• Liquids that attack FEP, PFA and PTFE (e.g. dissolved Sodium Azide)
• Liquids that attack borosilicate glass (e.g. Hydrofluoric acid)
• Hydrochloric acid > 40% and Nitric acid >70%
Tetrahydrofuran
Trifluoroacetic acid
• Explosive liquids (e.g. Carbon Disulfide) Suspensions (e.g. of charcoal) as the solid particles may clog or damage the instrument
• Liquids that attack PP (cap) The permissible concentration of dissolved Sodium Azide is not more than 0.1%.
For details, please refer to the operation manual OR Scan ”QR Code” on dispenser to download chemical compatibility list.
Autoclaving is important to sterilise the bottle top dispenser. Autoclaving can be done at 121° C, 15PSI. for 15-20 mins. Before autoclaving, instruments should be disassembled properly and the volume knob must be kept in an unlocked position.
It is recommended to rinse the dispenser with deionized or distilled water before and after the use. For sensitive or sticky reagents, intensive cleaning is required. For details, please refer to the cleaning and maintenance section.
